Kia Ora and welcome to Ruawaro Combined School

Ruawaro Combined School is a small rural primary school (Years 1-8) just a 10 minute drive west of Huntly. We are firmly focused on retaining our rural culture, traditions and values while embracing modern innovative learning.

We pride ourselves on having a nurturing and caring environment. We have high expectations for all our students, and we work with them to ensure they exceed their potential and experience success. Our experienced team provide the best learning opportunities for every child. We aim to provide programmes that are fun and challenging, where foundation skills are nurtured, and teaching is high quality.

We believe that your child’s education is a partnership between whānau, school and the child. Good communication between all three of these stakeholders is essential for success. We encourage you to become fully involved in all aspects of school life as well as supporting and encouraging your child with their learning.

Matariki Overnight Camp

We're almost ready for our Whole School Matariki Camp but we would love a few more helpers for overnight supervision!
If you're able to help us out, please let us know by Monday so we can finalise our planning.
